'VAJRASANA meditation' installation at Government House Canberra.

VAJRASANA meditation is installed at Government House, Canberra. It is a work on reflection – literally and figuratively. The upper part reflects the colours and movement in the surrounding environment. The stainless-steel plates shimmer and wave in the breeze. They invite contemplation.

The steel base connects to the earth and is in the curve of a spring, potent with action.

The work presents a balance - between the energy of reflection and the power of action. It symbolizes the role of guardian and governor.

The artwork was officially unveiled by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) on 31 May 2022.
