The retrospective exhibition at The Riddoch Arts & Culture Centre in 2023 has been a remarkable and enlightening event. The curators, catalogue writers and hosts have made visible the core energy that binds together a seemingly disparate group of works. The presentation has been embraced by visitors, the hosts and the artist. The visitor numbers have been excellent, visitors have responded to the content with enthusiasm, the hosts feel it has represented a "coming of age" for the gallery, and the artist has benefited from the revelations in looking back. Indications are that there is every chance the exhibition will further the aspirations of regional art galleries, communities, artists and arts centres. For the artist it brings a wider and deeper perspective to new works.
