'Tjukurpa Wangkapai', Amata SA 2001

A collaboration with the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yunkunytjatjara on the location and design for a safe storytelling place and outdoor social area in the centre of town. Opportunities for acknowledging traditional stories and children’s contemporary stories were combined with attention to designing for the comfort and safety of children and elders in the area. Visiting artist/designer, Margaret Worth, assisted the community in realizing their concept and layout for the proposed project. Landscape planning, engineering construction drawings, specifications and costs were completed.
