I am fascinated by energies: from the magnitude of gravitational waves through the cosmos to micro vibrations in the nerve endings of the body. The starting point here was the energy patterns of air, sea, and land in this place, Victor Harbor.

My new digital paintbox was constructed with algorithms, unworldly sounds and animated colours. George Usher of Digital Magic was my guide and collaborator. We built up layer upon layer of colour, movement and sound until we felt it was complete. We could even add the factor of ‘randomness’ into the mix. The possibilities seem limitless.

This project gives shape to the imagined energy patterns of people's favourite places in Victor Harbor: Granite Island, the Horse Tram, the Bluff, Whales, the Cockle Train and the sunrises. They were combined with some famous quotes about time by Albert Einstein, Paul Sagan, the Buddha, Thomas Hardy and others. I hope the work generates a ripple effect, connects with the community and creates an energy that makes life more interesting, for everyone.
