'Mile End Wall', Margaret Worth artist + designer.

Artist:
Margaret Worth
The different colours of bricks show flood plain layering of the soil. Remnant steel castings of farm machinery are embedded in the bricks. Reference is made to a first factory that was built on site and to the then state-of-the-art foundry that produced parts for farm equipment that was shipped across Australia and overseas. The craft of bricklaying is celebrated in the design and building of the chimneys and the wall.
