Exhibitions    Mining the Mind: Material Memory

21.07.15 to 13.09.15

Flinders Medical Centre, Promenade Gallery

Moving image and sound are combined with the physicality of elemental matter, e.g. sand, salt, graphite and carbon, in a way that triggers associations and evokes personal connections.

The installation creates a space where the real, the remembered and the imagined can merge.

It allows the reconciliation of opposing parts of human experience: the rational and irrational, the conscious and unconscious, reality and dream.

The viewer becomes the centre of experience and the creator of meaning.
